frequently asked questions
a: of course, every person has a unique situation and different needs so a prebuild might be applicable to you. what we can do better is to not only deliver a pc that fits your aesthetic preferences, but also deliver much more power for a very similar cost. prebuilt pcs tend to cheap out in crucial areas such as motherboards, memory modules, and cooling solutions which can all drag down performance. they are also built for general-purpose while nandabuilds custom pcs have carefully selected hardware that is specifically optimized for your individual uses so you can get much more performance in your specific situation while not paying for features that you won't use.
a: the people at nandabuilds are very experienced builders with extensive and detailed knowledge on the current generations of pc hardware. they are very well trained in balancing aesthetics, performance, and budget with excellent customer service and communication. with nandabuilds, you are guaranteed to receive the best pc for your wants and needs. we definitely recommend shopping your options to make sure you are getting the best product possible. with that being said, it is hard to beat us with the amount of careful consideration we put into designing every custom build at the rates we charge.
a: you can start the process by filling out a custom pc order form that will give us information about your budget, specific aesthetic preferences, as well as uses. after submitting a form, our team will begin designing a mock-up for your custom pc around the provided information. after we have a design we are happy with, we will reach out to you with the contact information provided to show our design for your custom pc and get any feedback if you have any changes you would like us to make. once we have a design you are happy with, we will take a small deposit and order in the parts. we keep you up to date each step along the way as we receive parts, assemble the system, test the system, and finally ship the system after we collect final payment.
a: depending on your situation and where the market is at, the minimum we recommend for a custom pc is $600 with all fees included. going lower than this amount, while possible, would involve buying used pc components which could make your system perform worse and be more unreliable.
a: our recommendation is completely dependent on your goals for your pc. we recommend starting by taking a look at our examples page to see what kind of system you can get at different budgets. please note the disclaimer at the top. in general, we recommend an absolute minimum of $600 (see previous question). we recommend a budget around $800 for a minimum well-performing system with a dedicated gpu. the best performance for the price is in the budget range of $1200-$1500, where budgets higher than this will bring more performance but for higher costs (diminishing returns). for content creation (recording and editing videos and streaming), a good budget is around $2000 for good encoding hardware, memory, and lots of fast storage. content creation pcs for less than this also work great, this is just a recommendation. please reach out if you would like some help figuring out how to find your budget!
a: tldr: about 2 weeks. once you place your order, it will take us a maximum of 2 days to reach out and design your build. once we get a confirmation and deposit from you, we place the order for the parts in your build. the parts usually arrive within 1 week of that. then we take a maximum of 3 days for assembly and testing. once everything is ready to ship we will collect final payment and send you the pc. this takes a maximum of 1 week. on average, builds are usually delivered about 2 weeks after ordering. shipping issues are usually the biggest culprit of longer delivery times as we have a tight and quick process. specific customizable features such as our laser engraving or ordering custom colored cables will extend delivery times.
a: while the size of our company doesn't allow us to have an official warranty, we are highly motivated to make sure each customer is well taken care of and to fix any issues that come up with a custom pc. as soon as we scale large enough to be able to afford a warranty program, it is something we would very much like to implement.
